Virgil Abloh, currently the creative director of Louis Vuitton is officially part of MAM-e.it’s fashion encyclopedia. The American designer, class 1980, recently presented the Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2021 menswear collection during the Paris Fashion Week. His career and achievements have added a lot to the fashion industry and he definitively deserved to be on our dictionary.
Virgil Abloh’s career
He started his career with an internship at Fendi and then he also founded Off-White with the help of Marcelo Burlon. Over the years he has also received many nominees, like “menswear designer of the year” by the CFDA fashion awards in 2018 and 2019.
He also collaborates with various artists such as Takashi Murakami for “TECHNICOLOR 2” and solo exhibited “Figures of speech” at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Chicago.
The designer is rumored to have a net worth of $20 million.

In 2017, after having signed important collaborations with Nike, Ikea, Rimowa and Jimmy Choo, he arrives at the management of the creative team of Louis Vuitton Homme, succeeding Kim Jones. Then in 2018 he was named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by the Time. Virgil Abloh is for sure a promising talent, and we expect to see a lot more from him.
